Centre for Earth and Environment

The Centre for Earth and Environment at FLAME was established in 2011 as a centre of research, outreach, and curriculum development in the fields of Earth Sciences and Environmental Studies.

Research at CEE addresses several critical environmental issues such as the management of resources, food, water, and energy needs, contamination and pollution of our environment, climate change and global warming amongst others, The strength of the centre lies in the use of multi-disciplinary approaches combining methods from the natural sciences, the physical sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities to better understand critical environmental issues.

Faculty with expertise in diverse fields conduct their research through the centre. In addition, the centre facilitates student research in Earth and Environmental Studies, and undertakes collaborative research projects with departments and agencies in India and abroad at various levels.
